Banning smoking tobacco outdoors?
Recently in New York there has been a new law settled about smoking tobacco in public spaces outdoors. This includes community parks and other public areas. If you are caught smoking in these areas you will be ticketed around 50$ and if you continue to smoke you will be charged 250$. Is this law going overboard? Some people feel it is going over board considering not many places indoors allow smoking inside anymore. If smoking is going to be illegal in areas outdoors there better off just making it illegal. Banning it in certain areas isnt going to stop people from smoking. The government obviously doesnt want to ilegalize smoking tobacco because they make too much money off of it. Making a law banning it in certain areas will minimize second hand smoke and will be another way to get money out of our hands. If the government thought smoking was that big of a deal they would just make it illegal, but they can't do that.

I don't think the governemtn does think smoking is a big deal. I think this law is just put in place to protect people from spreading the effects of second hand smoke to a large number of people.

ReplyDeleteThe government is a very powerful organization, but the people that run it are very dull when it comes to making new laws, it is always an issue when it comes to new laws
